Filling a Need is the Key

Zenzuu is free while Wowzza has a monthly fee of approximately $30. As with other sites, these both offer you the opportunity to network with like minded individuals with Wowzaa having an exciting income opportunity. Remember, as with any of these sites, expect to get a lot of emails inviting you to be a contact and asking you to investigate busines ventures. I have made reference to traffic sites a few times here and I still use them faithfully to drive traffic. One of my favorite sites is eCash Traffic. It is an auto surf site which means you set it to rotate while you go about doing other things. I continue to be inundated with emails offering me all sorts of "data entry" opportunities. To date, I have not come across anything I think will have a positive impact on a person's financial situation. I am also receiving a lot of information on other work at home business prospects. So many of them are vague - it is hard to know exactly what you are getting into. It is so important to do a complete search for feedback before investing in these opportunities. There is one company I bought information from. It was touted as a data entry opportunity but for me it turned out to be so much more. The link is http://www.webcolleagues.com. It cost me about $50 to sign up which provided me with information and links to dozens of different companies. I have been working through the details for several weeks and have found a lot of the information to be very useful. There are links for paid to read, vehicle advertising, data collection, blogging, typing, article submission, and much, much more. If you are new to the "working from home" arena this might be worth the investment. Remember, this only gets you the information. There will still be a lot of work to be done. I will share other things as I come across them.
When it comes to the more traditional type of work at home opportunity which involves marketing and team building , I am more convinced than ever that travel is the area that provides the greatest potential.
It caters to the Baby Boomers who are currently controlling the economy on so many levels. I heard something this week that brings it home. "For the next 18 years a baby boomer will turn 60 every 8 seconds". And what do most people want to do more than anything when they retire - TRAVEL!!

Getting Flooded With Emails

In my last post, I talked about all the data entry opportunities being promoted on the web. I submitted my information to dozens of these sites so I could get information. I am now drowning in email responses. As noted in my previous post, I have not come across anything that to me is true data entry. The majority of the information is promoting article writing, email reading and paid to read. I don't know about you but this does not constitute data entry in my book. The paid to read rewards seem to range from 1/10 of a cent to 5 cents per click. This requires you to stay on the page for anywhere from 10 seconds to 1 minute. Now, if you do the math, it doesn't take long to realize that the most money you could make doing this would be $3/hour. The problem is, you will only get a handful of the emails daily. I don't see how this can be an effective way to spend your time if you are looking to earn even an average income. It appears there are many people who have signed up with dozens of these companies and you do have the ability to refer people to build your income but I think it would be hard to build and maintain a team with this kind of payoff. There has to be somethng else out there! My search continues........

I am still convinced that the opportunity with GRN is one of the best out there.

Data Entry or Not Data Entry

For those of you who have been following my story, you know I have been exploring work from home opportunities for many months now. Although, I have found a great business in the travel industry, I am still exploring what else is out there and sharing my discoveries with you. Over the last several days, I have been continuing my research on data entry opportunities. I don't think I am alone when I say that I think of data entry as sitting in front of the computer inputting information on to an existing form or template. The term data entry when referring to home based opportunities has a much broader definition. In most cases it involves writing articles on any number of subjects which are then posted on forums looking for content. The articles don't have to be long but they need to be informative and the spelling and grammar need to be excellent. From what I have discovered, this will take a lot of effort at least initially and even then it will require significant effort on an ongoing basis to earn enough money to make it worth your while (if it is even possible). There are a few challenges from what I have discovered. What do you write about and how do you write effectively? Where do you post your articles? How do you get traffic to your postings? I will continue my research and post answers to these questions and more as time goes on. If I come across anything that looks like a great opportunity I will post it here immediately.

Data Entry

For the last several months I have been researching work at home data entry opportunities. At this point I would say "Be Careful"! There are a lot of scams out there. I am looking into a couple of things right now that look promising. I will go into in more detail once I have done more extensive research. Many people want to work from home but don't necessarily want to go into business for themselves. This type of work would be a perfect fit. A reminder though; If it looks too good to be true......you know the rest.

In an earlier posting I touched on the want vs. the need. People are more apt to be attracted to something that satisfies a want more than something that satisfies a need. That is proven over and over again in everyday life. If everything was based on need, everyone would drive little square cars with no added features, meals would consist of bland food supplying just the vitamins and minerals we need but not much flavour, there would be less "toys" (electronics, games, sporting equipment, etc.).
Based on this, it is important that you find a home based business opportunity that offers a product or service that people want. If it meets a need, consider it an added bonus.
This is what drew me to the travel industry. Eveyone wants to travel - some people more than others but most people would feel fulfilled to take at least one vacation annually. It also meets a need in that people return from a vacation rested and refreshed, ready to take on the world.
